Hello Gold Coast: Day #4

October 25, 2015 0 Comments
Good morning!
It was another great day spent in Gold Coast, Australia.

I was not feeling really well on that day so no bacon and egg type of breakfast for me.
Had to eat something light else I would be puking all over the place.

Surfers Paradise North, that was where we stayed.
It was a beautiful and nice place to live in.

Our activity for day #4, Dreamworld!
Yeah, we went to Dreamworld for the second time but our aim was to walk around and watch some shows that we missed on our first day of visit.
The first time when we were there, we were so eager to ride everything in Dreamworld so that day we decided to just walk around the theme park.
And because I was sick too. The worst thing ever to happen during a holiday,

Took the bus to Dreamworld and first thing first was to look at the shows that they had for the day.

The show that we watched was Madagascar Live! and our favourite character was King Julien!
Our King Julien was hilarious as always. I love you King Julien!

Before the show started, I spotted King Julien and Kowalski walking around in the theater and taking pictures with people.
Gotta take my chance to take a picture with King Julien.

Kowalski, Me and King Julien!

Some pictures and a short video from Madagascar Live! show.
To you all Madagascar lovers, enjoy! ;)

ALL HAIL KING JULIEN!
I LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT!

Moving on to Dreamworld Corroboree.

I can't remember what is the name of this animal so lizard it is.

Little kangaroo.

Snake?

The stubby and cute wombat.

My favourite of them all, koala bear!

Saw this random beautiful animal around Dreamworld Corroboree.

And lastly, tiger.

You can take picture with the tigers, crocodiles, snakes, koala bears and more. Just look out for the packages that they are offering.

Then we went to Kung Fu Panda to take picture with Po the panda.

Me and Po.

That is it to our random walks in Dreamworld.
We headed back to Surfers Paradise and bought Domino's Pizza for dinner.
We were so obsessed with Domino's when we were in Australia.

Domino's Pizza for dinner.

Ended our night with some Soy & Almond Milk and chilling in the living room with the cooling weather.
Surprisingly even though it was summer during our visit but the weather was really cooling. The maximum temperature was only 26°C. Imagine living in a cooling place like this. HEAVEN!

That's it for day #4.
A nice day spent at Dreamworld.
I loved Madagascar Live! show and koala bears so much!
And also PIZZA!

Thanks for reading and I hope you guys enjoy it.

You may read on my Hello Gold Coast: Day #2 blog post for more of Dreamworld.

Hello Gold Coast: Day #3

October 25, 2015 0 Comments
Hello and good morning from Gold Coast, Australia!

Day #3 of our trip in Gold Coast and we were heading to WhiteWater Wold
Time to get splashed!

Remember I mentioned about the Christmas Koalas passing by but I couldn't take any pictures with them from my Hello Gold Coast: Day #2 blog post?

Ta-Dah! Here I am with the Christmas Koalas!

Christmas Koalas and me.

I don't have a waterproof camera or a waterproof casing for my phone so I don't really have much pictures from WhiteWater World.
And guess what is more worse than not having a waterproof camera?
I fell sick on day #3. I had a horrible headache and fever. UGH!

Okay, moving on to the WhiteWater World!

First ride, Temple of Huey.
There are 3 different water slides for you to choose from but all of them are more or less the same.
You can also choose to ride this on your own on a single tube or with your friend on a double tube.

For those who are looking for family fun ride and here you go Pipeline Plunge.
It was a water playground and both of us were a little too old for this. xD

Notice that octopus looking thingy up there, that is The BRO and the orange and blue colour tubes are the slides.
Basically all you need to do is to grab a blue mat that they provided, lying chest down on the mat and off you go.
It was a really long and scary slide to me but it was one of the best!
Rides that don't have any safety belt on me freaks me out. I feel like anytime, I would be flung out from it.

Another favourite ride of ours, Triple Vortex.

Triple Vortex was a super fun ride!
Look at the round bowl looked like thingy.
Yup, we had to go through 3 of them before reaching the end.

There was another ride which only had one huge vortex, The Green Room but we didn't go for that cos I was not really feeling well and I might puke in there.

The green huge vortex is at the back of this picture, that's the one.
Then the small and thin looking slide on the left side of the The Green Room, that's Super Tubes Hydro Coaster.
Super Tubes Hydro Coaster was one of the best rides we have ever had!
It was like a roller coaster on water.
I love roller coaster and I love water theme park too so yeah, it was like I got the best of both world!
But one of the cons about it was the queue was so freaking long. We was in the line for about 30 to 45 minutes. Yup, that was how long we had to queue but it was all worth it!

That is it for all the pictures I have for WhiteWater World.

Some tips for you guys who are going to visit WhiteWater World.
Tip #1: Don't forget your sunscreen! Even we had our sunscreen on but we were burning!

Tips #2: They have electronic security lockers around the park. You just pay AUD 10.00 for one locker and it's all yours for the whole day.

Tip #3: Bring your own food and drink from home as there are not many choices of food and drink and they are a little expensive. They allowed you to bring your own home packed lunches but not commercially prepared food so don't worry.

Tip #4: Don't forget to bring your own towel. They don't have towel renting service but they do have shops selling towels.

Tip #5: Don't forget to have fun! ;)

I really enjoyed my day at WhiteWater World. It was really fun but the queues were a little long though. Maybe it was because of the holiday but everything was WORTH IT!

We had a little time to spare so we decided to walk around Dreamworld and we had our one last ride for the day, The Claw.

It was a scary ride for both of us. We wanted to try it because it fits a lot of people at a time so yeah, lesser waiting time. The speed of it going up and down was really fast. When I was high up there and it swung right back down, I literally floating in the air. Oh God. Almost got a heart attack up there.
If you are a scaredy-cat person, don't try this.

It was already almost 5:00 p.m. and we took the bus back to our hotel.
I was feeling sick for the whole day but thank God that I manged to hold  myself together for the whole day.
Had to end the day early.
Went back to our hotel, bathed and slept.

That is it, the end for day #3.

Hope you guys enjoy reading this post.

Hello Gold Coast: Day #2

October 14, 2015 0 Comments
We woke up to another beautiful day in Gold Coast.

First thing that I did was to take a picture of the view from our hotel balcony.
It was really beautiful and guess what, it was only 5:00 a.m. in the morning but the sky was already so bright.

Good morning Gold Coast.

One of my favourite things about travelling and staying in a hotel is THE BREAKFAST!
Yes, I love looking at what the locals usually eat in the morning.
Different countries will have different types of breakfast and that is so cool. I get to try different varieties of food while I'm travelling to different places.
Who doesn't like food, right? ;)

We had a bacon and egg type of breakfast. Everything was so perfect.
My bf has this thing with bacon. His eyes blink whenever he sees bacon. Pure bacon love.

Had our breakfast and off we go for another adventure day in Gold Coast.
Guess where were we heading to?
It was somewhere fun, fun for people like me! The childish type of people. =P

Look at how sunny the day was and yes we were trying to hide under the traffic light's shade while waiting for the bus to come. It was HOT that morning! I didn't think that my SPF 80 sunscreen was enough for this type of sun.

After for about 30 to 45 minutes, we had arrived at Dreamworld!
That little kid part inside of me was so excited about it.
Theme park is always a fun place to spend time at. I will never get sick of it.
THEME PARK FOR LIFE!

Dreamworld

We were there at about 10:00 a.m. and the crowd was crazy. There were a lot of people queuing up to buy their tickets. Lucky for us, we bought our tickets online

We were able to skip through the long queue because there were a few counters over there for people who have bought their tickets online and have their e-tickets with them. All you need to do is to hand over your e-ticket and they will print out another proper entrance ticket for you and that's it, you are IN!

You can just simply go to this website and look for the tickets that you want. There are a lot of different packages for you to choose.
The website to purchase your ticket: https://www.experienceoz.com.au/

Let's explore Dreamworld with me!

Town of Gold Rush.
It was like a mini cowboy town to me.

Welcome to Buzz Saw
We wanted to ride on this but thank God the queue was long and we didn't get a chance to ride on it.
Why? Because it was a scary ride.

Look at the roller coaster track.
It goes up so high and twisting around before it goes straight down again.
I don't think my heart is strong enough to handle this. I might scream till my lungs out up there.

Some photo fun time at Gold Rush.

They have a cinema in Dreamworld.
Throughout the day when you are tired of the rides, just take a break and watch some movies.
Remember to take note on the movie schedule else you will miss the movie.

FYI, both of us are a huge fans of Toothless and The Madagascar Penguins.

Then we headed to the Central Park Station to catch a train.

VROOOM VROOOM!
Our first ride of the day, Mick Doohan's Motocoaster.

Next stop, The Wiggles World
It was actually a world for little kids and toddlers but I did feel like taking the kid's ride. =P
We were like big kids when we were walking around that area. xD

After passing through The Wiggles World, we headed to Dreamworld Corroboree.

That was where my childhood's dream came through.
I hugged or carried a real koala bear!
I have always wanted to hug a real bear, koala bear, polar bear, panda bear or just any kinds of bear.
Oh wait, is koala bear a bear? =/

Just look at my happy face and the koala bear's sad face. LOL!
That koala bear's face was like "Hurry up human, UGH! I hate my life" xD

Koala Bear and I.

Next stop, The Australian Sheep Shearing Show.
We missed the show when we reached there so we just walked around in the barn to look at the cute sheep.

Have you ever seen a kangaroo chilling around?
No? Then here you go.
A kangaroo chilling under the shade.

Draw me like one of your french girls. =P

When I was a kid, whenever I heard Australia, I will thought of crocodiles.
Yes, Australia is not Australia without the crocodiles. =P

I am not sure what is this animal called but damn, it has prettier hair than me.
Just look at the volumized and silky fur.

KOALA BEAR!
I am so obsessed with koala bear. They are just so adorable.
Can I just bring one of them home with me please?

Bye koala bear and we headed to Tiger Island

Done exploring Dreamworld Corroboree.
Actually there were other animals such as Bilby, Dingo and more that I can't remember their names.
They were all hiding in their nest so I couldn't take any pictures of them.

Welcome to the world of Kung Fu Panda!
It looked like Chinatown in Dreamworld. It was so cool!

They even have this Mr. Ping's Courtyard.
How cute could this be?

Time to meet Shrek and the gang!

Shrek's Faire Faire Away

 Ginhy's Glider

I wanted to go on this ride but it looked like a kid's ride to me.
What if I was too big to fit into the carriage?
Imagine that kind of awkward moment, better not risk it.

Picture time with Shrek and the gang!

Let's go into the world of Madagascar Madness!

And we were lucky enough to meet Gloria and Alex!
I love Madagascar so much and being able to take pictures with them is like a little's girl dream come true to me! =P

And we were also lucky enough to meet the Gingerbread Man from Shrek.

Then we saw a few Christmas Koala Bears passing by in a truck but too bad we couldn't take any picture with them.

It was almost 5:00 p.m. and Dreamworld was closing at 5:00 p.m. so we headed back to Surfers Paradise. It was really a fun day at Dreamworld.
Honestly, one day was not enough for us to explore Dreamworld. There were too many rides to ride on, the place was so big and a lot of shows to watch.
I made a promise to myself, I will be back! ;)

Back to Surfers Paradise and it was Woolworths shopping time!

While we were walking back to Surfers Paradise, there was a night market beside the beach. They were selling all kinds of stuff such as foods, paintings, souvenirs and more.

I bought a handmade koala bear at the night market.
How cute is this? Me and my koala bear obsession. =P

Koala bear for good luck. ;)

Bought some souvenirs too from one of the shops in Surfers Paradise.

I bought this box of Uncle Tobys cereal.
According to my bf, this will make you poo a lot. So yeah, I could use a little fiber in my diet.

We bought a roasted chicken and salad from Woolworths for dinner.
Simple yet satisfying dinner.

Okay, that's it for day #2.
It was a really fun day for us. Loved Dreamworld so much!

Hope you guys enjoy reading and if you haven't read on my Hello Gold Coast: Day #1. Feel free to click on the link. Thank you so much guys!

Stay tune for HELLO GOLD COAST: DAY #3.
