Hello Bloggies!
It has been a while since I wrote a review blog post. I have been trying out a few products lately, mostly skin care products but I was too lazy to take a before and after picture of myself. Please excuse my laziness. 😔
Despite the laziness that I was feeling earlier, here I am sitting in front of my laptop typing out another review post on nail polish.
I am not the type of girl who likes makeup very much (my skin is not the perfect canvas for makeup so I gave up a long time ago) but when it comes to nail polish, I am going crazy over it. Bright and colorful nail polishes are my favorite, I don’t really fancy those 3D nail arts because for a rough girl like me, they would break within the first few hours.
I actually love 3D nail arts, those nails are beautiful and if I had nails like that, I swear to God, I would stop washing the dishes and just sit there mesmerizing at my own nails until they break or something, haha! But too bad, they are not suitable for a rough person like me. It would be a miracle if they were able to last for more than 3 days without any breaking or chipping.
That is why a basic manicure works just nice for me but finding a perfect nail polish is not an easy task to do. I need those nail polishes that are able to dry fast, shines that are able to last for a minimum of one week and most importantly, easy to apply.
I went shopping last two weeks and definitely did not intend to purchase any new nail polish. I got them because they were on sales and I thought it would be such a waste if I missed out the promotion that was going on. Blah blah blah, you know the excuses that you would give yourself when you just want to get something for yourself, haha.
It was a buy one free one deal and you would get a free manicure with a minimum purchase of $25, what a deal right? (Still trying to convince myself that it was a great deal)
Okay, let’s see what I got.
I bought the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in two different colors which are #401 Hat's Off To Hue and #671 Moheato. It was a buy one free one deal and I only paid $13.90 for two of them.
Besides that, I also got the Miracle Gel Value Pack which comes with one color and one top coat and this value pack only cost me $14.90. Plus the sales girl gave me the Complete Salon Manicure Dry & Go Drops for free, told ya it was a great deal. 😉
And not to forget about the free manicure that I got from purchasing $25 and above.
Excuse my wrinkly fingers but this color is so beautiful! 😍
Purple is the new pink.
I was using the color #401 Hat's Off To Hue in this picture and I loved it very much. Pastel colors are just so pretty and dreamy. Prefect shade of purple that actually matches my skin tone, love it very much!
Okay, there was one thing that I decided to experiment with.
Here is a snapshot from Sally Hansen's website and it says here "this all-in-one formula delivers up to 10 days of chip-resistant wear" and for a rough person like me, yes, I need this formula the most.
So let's put a test on how chip-resistant this is on me, the rough girl whose nails start to chip after a day old manicure or maybe 3, haha!
The picture above was taken the next day after the manicure, looking shiny and pretty.
One week later...
Still looking shiny as day #1 and no chipping found yet.
Two weeks later...
Only after week #2, it started to lose its shine and started to chip a little bit on my index finger.
Overall, I am quite impressed on how this nail polish managed to hold for two weeks. Definitely scored a 9 out of 10 for being chip-resistant.
For any of you who are as rough as me or someone who needs to do their own housework, try this nail polish out. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
Chip-resistant nail polish, checked! ✔
Now I feel like buying more of these nail polishes. Luckily it is already night time (10:00 PM to be exact) while I am typing this out else trust me, the next thing I would do is to change and go out shopping for more nail polish, haha!
What are the nail polishes that you girls usually use?
I tried out nail polishes from Etude House, The Face Shop, Sasa and Models Own and so far the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure shines the brightest, haha!
It says there on their website that it will give a gel-shine finish, I must say, it is true. I love how shiny a gel manicure could give you but too bad, I am too poor to get one of those LED light thingy to dry them. Hence, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure is my alternative to gel nail polish. 😉
Okay, that is it for this post.
So now, go get yourself one of those nail polishes from Sally Hansen!
Happy Painting! 💅
