Fun Day At Universal Studios Singapore

April 24, 2016 2 Comments
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!

Today I am going to take you guys on a fun day at Universal Studios Singapore (USS).

We flew over to Singapore about one month ago for a 5 days and 4 nights trip. We spent one of the days at USS and it was a really fun day for people like us.

We are just a theme park person, who loves theme park like we do?
Raise your hand up high!

It was a full day at USS for us, from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and it was an amazing experience!
Definitely will be going back there again if I visit Singapore in the future!

THUMBS UP!

There was a special Easter event going on when we were there, colourful eggs and bunny ears were all over the place. Yes, it was really cute!

Thinking of going to USS again during Christmas, surely the place would be decorated so beautifully in Christmas theme. Feeling all Christmasy right now even though it is only April. LOL! xD

Okay, let's get back to Easter.

Hello USS!

Oh no, those are not Easter eggs, just me and dinosaur hatching. xD

Here is a list of places that we explored in USS.

My favourite attraction in USS?
No, I don't have any favourite attraction in USS because I love them all!

1. Transformer The Rides: The Ultimate 3D Battle
Our first ride in USS, Transformer The Rides: The Ultimate 3D Battle.

It is a roller coaster kind of ride but with 3D motion pictures. Imagine yourself sitting in one of the
Autobots and you get to see the Transformers battle, so cool.

While queuing up for the ride, you get to experience the feeling of being in the Transformers base and getting ready for a battle mission.

It is so cool that they manged to replicate something so similar to the movie so now, please make a Minion world for me, haha!

2. Ancient Egypt
We then traveled back in time to ancient Egypt.

I can't imagine myself living in that era where everything is so huge and mighty.
By looking at the huge statue, I felt like an ant, so small and tiny.

Don't forget to take a ride on the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster.

The scary part of the ride is that the roller coaster is in a total darkness of a mummy tomb. Fireballs, beetles and mummy warriors appeared suddenly and they seriously scared the hell out of me.

Scariness of the ride, 4 out of 5 stars.

Or maybe I am just a scaredy-cat. xD

3. The Lost World
We traveled back in time again, to the time where dinosaurs still exist.

Let's take a river raft tour at Jurassic Park but beware, you might get wet.

When someone tries to be funny and pokes the dinosaur's nose.
You should be thankful that the dinosaur is fake else there goes your hand!

4. Far Far Away
Let's take a trip to somewhere not far away from here but still kind of far far away from here. (If that even make sense. xD)

What is your favourite character in Shrek?
I don't really have one but my favourite thing about Far Far Away is that huge white castle situated in the middle of Far Far Away land.

That is what most girls would like, right? The castle for princess. =P

5. Madagascar
We sailed all the way to Madagascar to meet King Julien and as usual, King Julien will always be King Julien.

Bf looks like he is annoyed by King Julien's feet. xD

Look at the tiny Skipper holding a bag of Cheetos, so cute!

6. Hollywood
When TV characters come to life.

And lastly, we ended our day at USS with an awesome fireworks show.

Don't mind my bad photography skill. It was not easy to get a nice shot of the fireworks but I did try my best, haha!

That is it to our fun day at USS.
We had a lot of fun there and guess what? I met my long lost lover at USS and I will talk about it in my next blog post.

Some hint for you guys, it is something yellow and cute.

Stay tune for more.

Love,
Rachel.

When You Have A Sweet Tooth

April 01, 2016 0 Comments
Hello sweet and lovely human out there, welcome back to my blog.

It has been a long week at work for me and finally, the weekend has arrived!
Time to take a break and blog at home.

Today's blog post will be featuring something sweet.

Last few weeks, my bf and I flew over to Singapore for a short holiday before he started working there. Yeah, that is what happening with us right now, the long distance relationship.

It is only an hour flight from KL to Singapore so yeah, it is actually not that bad.
On the plus side, I get the chance to use "I should fly over to Singapore to visit my bf" as an excuse for me to go for a holiday. (*Thumbs up)

We stayed at Fragrance Hotel - Imperial when we were in Singapore, and there is a French Restaurant, Antoinette located just right next to our hotel.

And one morning, we decided to try it out.

First of all, let's take a look at what they have to offer at the cake shelf.

To a cake lover like me, this is so exciting!
I call this the cake porn or the dessert porn. #cakeporn #dessertporn xD

And they are selling macaroon too, SWEET!

We ordered three pieces of cake and a cup of hot chocolate but, I wish we could order more than that because all of the cakes looked so delicious.

The process of choosing only three pieces of cake was one tough process because I wanted to eat all of them!

I will be back for the rest of the cakes so as for now, let's try these three.

Yummy yummy.
This is how you satisfy a sweet tooth.

I loved all of them but my favourite one would be Charlotte, the red one with a strawberry on top.

One thing that I really like about the cake is the right amount of sweetness in the cake.
Unlike some other cakes that I tried before where they were super sweet and I couldn't even finish it.

Not only their cakes look cute, their restaurant looks cute too.

Currently you can find Antoinette at Penhas Road, Mandarin Gallery and Sofitel So Singapore.
The one that we went to is at Penhas Road and here is the address of the restaurant if you need it.

Antoinette @ Penhas Road
30 Penhas Road,
Singapore 208188.

Overall, I really liked their cakes but who doesn't love cakes anyway? Right?
Definitely will be going back there to try out the other cakes that they have.

Dear bf, I know you are reading this. You are going to take me there next time when I fly over to Singapore! That's how you feed me! xD

Okay, that's it for this post.
Thank you for reading and I shall update you guys soon on another blog post.

Guess where we are heading to next? ;)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Love,
Rachel.
