Pizza Mission Day

February 28, 2016 0 Comments
FOOD blog post is FINALLY HERE!

Hello FOOD LOVERS! Today we are going to talk about PIZZA!

We had been thinking of what to make for the past week and we finally decided to make our own pizza.

You know when you buy your pizza at Domino's, Pizza Hut or whatever pizza shop and somehow the pizza toppings are just not enough. You have one of those unsatisfied feelings and you just want more.

You can never get enough of pizza toppings, there is always room for more!

Since we were going to make our own pizza (insert evil laugh emoji here), PUT IN ALL THE TOPPINGS!

These are all the ingredients that we used to make our pizza, crazy huh?

When the guys are in the process of making their own pizza.

There were four pieces of pizza base so each and everyone of us got our own pizza base to decorate.
Yup, we decorated our own pizza as though it was a pizza art class, LOL! xD

Done with the pizza decoration and here is our master piece.

Pizza #1 belongs to Mervin, Salmon Bacon Pizza.

Pizza #2 belongs to me, Salmon Mushroom Pizza That Looks Like A Cheesecake.

Pizza #3 belongs to Ian, Cheezy Salmon Bacon Pizza.

Pizza #4 belongs to CK, The Toppings Overload Pizza.

Just take a look at this pizza and describe it with one word, OVERLOAD!

It has got salmon, bacon, pickle, olive, cherry tomato, sharp cheddar cheese, blue cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and many more (God knows what he had topped on that pizza)!

 The Toppings Overload Pizza

Time to bake all the pizzas to PERFECTION!

Everyone was waiting patiently for the oven to give us the "Ding" sound.
The sound of happiness, "DING"!

DING!

Pizza #1: Salmon Bacon Pizza.

Ooohhhhh~~~
Look at how cheezy it is, CHEESE IS LIFE!

Mervin's quote, "Road to a successful pizza, put more cheese!"

Pizza #2: Salmon Mushroom Pizza That Looks Like A Cheesecake.

My not so successful pizza, WHERE IS THE CHEESE???

Pizza #3: Cheezy Salmon Bacon Pizza.

We expected it to be cheezy too but no, it ain't happening.

We actually suspected Mervin took all of our mozzarella cheese and replaced it with some random cheese.
How can his pizza be so super cheezy but not ours?
He stole our mozzarella cheese! xD

Pizza #4: The Toppings Overload Pizza.

With all the crazy toppings on this pizza but hey, it looks really good and nice.
All those colours really make this pizza looking "WOW".

Just take another look at this beautiful looking pizza.

WOW!

Four different types of pizza to fill up our tummy, best lunch ever!

But honestly, that was way too much of cheese and toppings!
Let's just stay with the moderate amount of pizza toppings because sometimes less is more.

Let's proceed to our dessert.
There is always room for dessert, am I right?

We made Strawberry Cheesecake Ice-Cream Parfait for dessert.

Strawberry Cheesecake Ice-Cream Parfait

It was really easy to make, we put some biscuit crumbs, cream cheese with icing sugar, strawberry and ice-cream.
That's all, it was a really simple recipe that you can just get everything from the supermarket.

We used Wall's Strawberry Cheesecake Ice-cream for our parfait.
It was really good, it has got strawberry and cheesecake bites in it, PERFECT!

No baking a cheesecake needed! Just add a few scoops of it in your parfait and you are ready to go!

That was how we spent our Saturday together.
Everything about food will keep everyone happy!

Seriously, you can never go wrong with pizza!

My favourite pizza would be Pizza #1: Salmon Bacon Pizza.
Salmon and pizza are like two of my favourite food on earth and imagine what would happen when you combine both of your favourite food together?

BOOM! HEAVEN ON EARTH!

FYI, every year on February 9 is National Pizza Day.

Ah, we missed it but I am so going to celebrate this special day next year with lots and lots of pizza!

To all of you pizza lovers out there, I hope you guys enjoy reading and I will update on another blog post soon!

See ya!

Love,
Rachel, the pizza lover.

Be Fit On Valentine's Day

February 21, 2016 0 Comments
Hello lovely human and welcome back to my blog.

I know Valentine's Day is over but still Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day, no matter you are single or attached because to me, Valentine's Day is all about expressing your love to your loved ones, be it your significant other, parents, siblings or friends.

You don't need to be in a relationship to celebrate Valentine's Day, even a day hanging out with your BFF would be great!

Or you can just spend the whole day with yourself at home doing things that you love such as binge-watching on Netflix and treating yourself some pizzas because yes, YOU LOVE YOURSELF LIKE THAT!

My bf and I, we don't really celebrate Valentine's Day but this year, we did a little something different. We signed up for a fun run with my BFF (laojie) and her bf so it was like a double date kind of thing that we thought it would be fun.

The run that we joined was Cupid Run, the cutest and sweetest run that I have ever seen!

This is the race entry pack for the girls whereas for guys, they got a blue drawstring bag and a blue t-shirt instead of a red drawstring bag and a pink t-shirt.

This is how we look like with the cute t-shirts on.
Loved both of the colours so much!

And here is the back of the t-shirts with the running bibs.
They are so freaking cute and I can't handle it! AHHH~~~

The best thing about Cupid Run was they had 4 different pit stops with different background props for you to take picture with your loved ones.
How cute is that?

3, 2, 1, GO!

Pit Stop 1: The Cinder

Pit Stop 2: The Magical Gifts

Do we look cute in this purple tutu?

I think he (my laojie's bf) looks even cuter than us, haha!

Pit Stop 3: The Pumpkin Ride

Oops, we didn't realize that we were holding the wrong signs.

And finally, the finishing line.
Oh yeah! We made it and we were seriously in love with the beautiful heart shaped medals.

Both of us got a different medal and both of the medals can be interlocked with each other, SO CUTE!

Blue running bib will get the bigger heart shaped medal whereas pink running bib will get the smaller heart shaped medal.

So you place the smaller heart on top of the bigger heart and that is how you lock both hearts together.
I am so in love with this, isn't it lovely?

Here is how to interlock both of the medals together.

Here is another close up look at both of the medals.

Last but not least, Pit Stop 4: The Ball

There was a photo booth for us to take picture but I think the lighting was a little too bright, we can't see the words on the signs that we were holding. Everything looks so bright in the picture.

One last selfie before we headed back home.

We got those flower crowns from winning one of the mini games along the run and yes, I forced my bf to put it on his head. xD

We had so much fun on that day, loved the sweet and lovely theme of the run, loved the beautiful medals and I loved how we could spend our time together like this.

Dear bf (if you are reading this), thanks for accompanying me to this fun run even though you hate joining event like this and I know you would rather stay at home doing nothing, you lazy human. I had fun and I really enjoyed it, I hope you too were having fun as I did. Okay, that's it. I love you! Bye! xD

Happy Late Valentine's Day!

Love,
Rachel, the girl who was trying to be fit on Valentine's Day.

It's All About The Siblings #Selfie

February 16, 2016 0 Comments
Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
Wishing you and your family a prosperous Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year, the time where everyone will be traveling all the way back home just to be with their family.

Of course, I was really excited about going back home.
Home will always be the best place to be at.
Because home will never run out of FOOD!

Yup, you will agree with me for this one because the best thing of all is mom's cooking! Oh yeah!

Once a year, we got to eat all the carbs and not feeling guilty about it.
GO CARBS!

But sorry, today's post is not about food, it is all about the siblings selfie.

When you got the chance to be crazy with your siblings, #selfie!

Because sometimes, it is hard to be normal when you are with your siblings.

Okay, here comes a pretty normal selfie of us.

Done with the selfies and let's talk about our reunion dinner.

For our reunion dinner, we had tons of fish ball with satay sauce.
Yup, we like processed food like this! xD

Let me show you guys my favourite ang pao (red packet) for this year.

It looks so "family" to me and it gives me this warmth kind of feeling that I really like.

There was nothing much happened during the Chinese New Year.
We ate, we slept and we played. That's all, the end. xD

Oh, and here is my FiFi, the Shih Tzu trying to be all baby again, haha!

So yeah, nothing much happened during the holiday.
I hope I didn't bore you guys with our selfies.
Don't worry, we have come to an end for this post. No more ugly selfies. xD

I wish everyone is enjoying their holiday and once again, Gong Xi Fa Chai!

Love,
Rachel.
