Dessert Is My Main Course

April 21, 2017 0 Comments
Hello Bloggies!

It is that time of the month again where we should treat ourselves with some good food, you know, just to keep our tummy and soul happy. After all, we deserve it after so many squats at the gym. 😉

We hadn't had a great meal for some time now (it is not like the food that we eat daily are bad), by great meal, I mean those "high-end" and "luxury" kind of food that we cannot afford to eat daily but to only eat like once in a while. You know what I mean, don't you?

The last time when we went out to hunt for a good restaurant to try out was about 3 months ago. It has been 3 months since the last time we treated our tummy some luxury food, time does fly! 😱

Okay, back to our main topic.

This time we decided to try out at Dolce Tokyo, a Japanese-Italian cafe that is located at Bugis Junction. I believe this is not a new cafe for the locals but this was our very first time eating there and in my opinion, the food served at this cafe did not disappoint me at all. 👍

When you can't decide whether to have Japanese food or Italian food, just go to Dolce Tokyo because there is where you can have the best of both worlds, haha!

Dolce Tokyo offers a wide range of food from appetizers to desserts. We spent quite some time flipping through the menu just to find something that suit our taste buds because guess what, they have like 6 pages of desserts for you to choose from. They have Parfait, Creme Brulee, Panna Cotta, Ice Cream, Cake and many more.

Okay, since I am more excited on the desserts part so let's just skip to the dessert first then only we talk about our main course, haha!

Have you ever seen a Dessert Bento before?
I did not know such thing existed until I saw one in their menu and we could not resist the urge to just order one and try it out ourselves.

Dessert Bento

The most appetizing bento that I have ever seen in my life (I still love to eat Tempura Bento though), a bento that filled with 100% of sweet and happiness. How can you not be happy when you see this served on your table?

I am going to say this, DESSERTS FOR LIFE! 😋

Each Dessert Bento comes with five different desserts that you can mix and match on their Dessert Bento menu for $18.90++.

When you are unable to choose which desserts to have so you go for this, all-in-one! Smart huh? 😂

And now, let's move on to the main dish.

I was craving for some seafood earlier so I decided to try Seafood Cheese Baked Rice with Japanese Curry, yum yum! 😋

And BF decided to feast like a beast by ordering this huge plate of pork ribs. 😱

Each set comes with 3 sides of your choice and BF chose baked potato and mashed potato as two of the sides. Why? Because I love potato, that is how selfish I am, haha!

Me like potato and you like potato too. 😍🥔

At the end of the day, am I satisfied?

YES, I AM SATISFIED!

You can never say no to desserts, yeah, the main focus in this post is actually the Dessert Bento.
Seriously guys, that is one of the things that you have to try, definitely worth it!

Now can I please go back there again to try out the other desserts on their menu?

I am so going back to Dolce Tokyo for their desserts, yum yum! 😋

Another great cafe to try out at Bugis Junction. 👍
If you are happen to be around that area and also a dessert lover like me, you should definitely try this cafe out.

This is actually a trap for my BF because once I feed him good food then he will need to accompany me shopping around Bugis. 😝

Okay, that is it for this post.

Quick, go gather your squads and feed yourself with some yummilicious desserts!

The Potato/Dessert Girl,
Rachel.
