Hello Gold Coast: Day #1

October 02, 2015 0 Comments
WE FLEW AGAIN!

For the first time ever, 8 hours of flight to Gold Coast, Australia.
Before hopping on the plane, I thought "Hey, I'm going to sleep on the plane and once I open up my eyes, poof! I will be there already!".
Oh God, I've never been so wrong in my life.
Guess what? I only slept for about 3 hours maybe?
My first long haul flight was kinda torturing to me. There was no such thing as comfortable sleeping position in a plane.

But never mind, it was all worth it. ;)

We were like travelling through time.
Since Australia's time is 2 hours ahead of us so we kinda like flying from a night place to a morning place.
Errr...you know what I mean right?

After 8 hours of sleepless flight, OH HELLO GOLD COAST!

That view, ahhh~~~

DING DING! Tram is coming through!

And here we are!
The hotel for our 1 week stay in Gold Coast, Australis Sovereign.

We couldn't check in until 2pm so we just left our luggage at the lobby and off we go!
Here we go on our day #1 trip in Gold Coast, Australia.

Breakfast of the day, Bacon Muffin from Hungry Jack's.
My bf told me that Hungry Jack's is actually our Burger King that we have here.
Why Hungry Jack's? I have no idea but I did know we have Hungry Rachel's here! xD

Bacon Muffin.

We spent our day walking around Surfers Paradise, exploring the beautiful Gold Coast.
It was Christmas when we were there and everything was so Christmasy!

Have you ever seen a bunch of kangaroos surfing?
Yes, they have it in Surfers Paradise!

Merry Christmas from Surfer Paradise.

Koala Claus?

We came across this cute little store, Build-A-Bear Workshop.
Yes, you go in there, pick a bear, pick a cute mini outfit for your bear and you build a bear!
How cool it is? But we didn't build one for ourselves cos I have too many plushies at home.
Girl ain't got any space at home!

It was almost 2pm so we decided to walk back to our hotel, check in to our room and rest.
The views in Gold Coast are just so amazing!
I loved the weather, I loved the views and I loved the tram the most!

DING DING!

Checked in!
The room that we got was huge and we had an amazing view from the balcony too.
Personally to me, the best hotel is to have an amazing view from the balcony that I don't normally get to see from my balcony at home.

OK! It's time for a room tour!

When we came in through the front door, the mini kitchen and dining area were on our left hand side.
The kitchen area was completed with a mini fridge, microwave, cups and even cutlery.

Mini kitchen and dining area.

This was what our room looked like when we walked in through the front door.
Kitchen and dining area on the left side, living room on the other side and our bedroom.
It felt like living in a cozy little apartment and I really liked it.

Okay, here comes the best part of the hotel that I was waiting for, I called it the balcony view!

The awesome view that we got from the balcony.
It was just so damn beautiful!

The awesome view that we got.

Lunch of the day, Uncle Tobys muesli bar that we bought from Woolworths.

We went to Woolworths before we went back to the hotel.
They have like everything in Woolworths or everything that we don't have it in Malaysia and that is what makes grocery shopping in overseas so much fun!

Then we headed to Surfers Paradise Beach for a walk.

Fast forward to dinner time.
We wanted to try Domino's Pizza because we don't have those bacon pizza back home.
Yeah, I know it sounds a little sad to not have bacon pizza here and that was why we bacon everything while we were in Gold Coast. xD

We had BBQ Chicken and Rasher Bacon Pizza for dinner.
It was the best pizza that I've tasted so far, it was seriously the best!
Maybe it's just because of I hadn't eaten any bacon pizza before this, yeah I know it's really depressing. Can we move to somewhere that has bacon pizza now?

And fireworks!
We was walking around aimlessly and we heard the sound of fireworks.
Quickly we rushed towards to where the fireworks noise was and we found it.
We were so lucky that we rushed to that place on time and yes, our first "under the fireworks" moment. xD

Here are some of the night views from Surfers Paradise.
Walking on the sandy beach during night time was really nice but it was a little cold and windy during that night.
It was summer time when we were there and I expected it to be fiery hot kind of weather so I wore t-shirt and shorts but it turned out to be a little cold there.
Why? But it was okay, I really loved the weather there because I am that kind of "I rather die from cold than hot" person. =P

And we ended the night with blueberries that we bought from Woolworths.

It was a great day at Surfers Paradise.
Stay tune with me for our day #2 in Gold Coast.

xoxo~~~♥

Hello Bangkok: Day #4

August 12, 2015 0 Comments
Hello and good morning Bangkok!

Time flies when you are having fun and yes, day #4 was our final day in Bangkok.
Wish we could stay a little longer in Bangkok, it was such an awesome trip!

Breakfast time and that was our last breakfast before we left Bangkok.
It was getting a little depressing towards the end of our trip. =(

The awesome breakfast that I had, some fried rice, penne carbonara, curry potato, sausage and fish.
My bf was still sick at that time so he just ate some fruits, poor kid.

My delicious breakfast!

Filled our tummies up and we were off to go!

First stop for day #4: Central World.

How did we get there?
We took the BTS from BTS Ratchathewi Station to BTS Siam Station. We took about 5 to 10 minutes maybe walking on the sky bridge before we got to Central World.

I am just going to share some pictures that I took at Central World.
Since it is just a shopping mall so I don't really have much to share with you guys here, you know, it is a shopping mall.
Girls, this is your shopping spot too! ;)

In my opinion, Central World is quite big actually but it is almost the same as Pavilion that we have in KL. I didn't buy anything there because we have almost everything similar in KL too. H&M, XXI Forever (Forever 21), VNC (Vincci) and more.
We saved our money for FOOD! xD

Second stop for day #4: Big C

How did we get there?
Big C is located opposite of Central World so all we did was to cross over through the pedestrian bridge.
It was really convenient for us to walk around at that place. It was like all in one!

Before we crossed to the other side, we walked passed a beautiful temple outside of Central World.

I just had to take this "I am with Thailand McDonald's picture" when I was there.
You know, the signature Thailand McDonald's. =P

Sawadika from us!

And I saw they were having this parfait thing going on and who doesn't want a parfait from McDonald's?

Mc Parfait for only 29 Baht.

And I got the strawberry parfait.

Shopping time and we bought a lot of junk food, junk food that we can't find in Malaysia.
Seriously, Thailand has varieties of junk food and I like it because who doesn't love to eat junk food?

I am a happy shopper!

MINIONS!

Seriously, the best bacon flavoured potato chips that I've ever eaten in my life!
I am going back for more!

My obsession with Lays potato chip.

BBQ flavoured peanut.

Charcoal face soap for my sister.

Seaweed.

Another brand of seaweed.

And more seaweed.

Squid kind of junk food?
I don't know what it is called.

Choco Banana Pocky and Matcha Pocky.

More Pocky!

And more Pocky, the blueberry and strawberry Pocky are the best.

Instant noodles and it's so spicy.

Then we saw something interesting, miniature market or miniature food.
I wish I could buy some of them but I don't really have the space to put at home.
Took some pictures of them then, at least I have the soft copy of them, haha! xD

Done our junk food shopping and it was beauty products shopping time.
Seriously, they have a wide range of beauty products and I can't find most of them in Malaysia so yeah, had to take the chance and buy as much as I could.

Read on my Hello Bangkok: Day #2 where I bought some of the beauty products from Boots and also Watsons. The best thing of all was they were so cheap!

I came across Beauty Cottage when I was wandering around the shopping mall.
It just like another version of Etude House and I bought 2 bottles of body mist.
I just thought that I needed some souvenirs for myself so yeah and since they were looking all so fancy on the shelves.

Body mist from Beauty Cottage, 148 Baht each.

While we were walking back to the BTS station, I came across this pop-up store called Cathy Doll.
You can find Cathy Doll's products from Watsons too, don't worry if you can't find their stores.

I bought their Snail Body Bath and Snail Pore Reducing Serum.
To me, everything that has snail written on it means it is really good for your skin.
They are good in reducing the appearance of scar or good in getting a smoother skin I think.
Since it is a snail thingy so I am gonna give it a try, plus they have really cute and pretty packaging too.
Hopefully it would reduce the appearance of scars on my face.
That's what happens when you constantly pop your pimples or acne.
Yes, I am guilty of it so snail, please work.

Snail Body Bath for 165.75 Baht and Snail Pore Reducing Serum for 370 Baht.

And I bought this peeling gel and clay mask for my sister.

Peeling gel and clay mask from Cathy Doll, 25Baht each.

Done shopping and we headed back to our hotel.
We needed to repack since we bought a lot of stuff.

What can I say?
It was a successful shopping day!

Took a taxi to the airport. The hotel receptionist was really kind to help us to call a taxi.
One piece of advice, try to leave early to the airport because the traffic in Bangkok is quite crazy.

Had to take a last look at our hotel before we left.
Seriously, we had the best stay in Evergreen Place Hotel.
They have very nice environment, great breakfast, good location and everyone is really nice.

Bye bye hotel.
Thanks for the awesome stay!

I saw Naraya at the airport and I had to buy something before we flew back to KL.
You know, one last souvenir for myself.
It was so sad to leave Bangkok. =(

I bought a floral make up mirror and a floral make up bag.
Floral is just so cute!

Floral make up bag for 110.00Baht.

Floral make up mirror for 95.00Baht.
Please ignore my creepy face. xD

Okay, it was time to leave.
Goodbye Bangkok!
It was so much fun exploring Bangkok with my bf.
We will meet again for the Lays bacon potato chips! xD

It was an awesome journey in Bangkok!
So where should I explore for my next trip?

If you haven't read my the other Bangkok blog posts, click on the links below:

Thanks guys!
Till next time.

xoxo~~~♥
